Independent jury Pontal Magazine Worldwide
The global distinction for exceptional homes
The world's most remarkable homes.
Architecture becomes culture when a house is more than a place to live. Pontal Awards identifies, honours
and publishes the residences that define excellence in our time.
Pontal Awards is conceived as an annual cultural record of the houses that matter — globally,
architecturally and editorially.
The programme brings together an international jury, transparent judging criteria and a highly selective
editorial process. Recognition is based on architectural intelligence, relationship to place, interiors,
craftsmanship, sustainability and cultural relevance — never simply on scale or price.
01

02
Selective
A deliberately limited annual selection designed to preserve the value of the distinction.
03
Editorial
Every selected home becomes part of a wider story about architecture, design and contemporary living.
04
Permanent
The Pontal Magazine creates a collectible archive rather than a transient digital ranking.

Essential information
Submission FAQ.
Who can submit a project?
The proposed programme allows architects, interior designers, owners, developers and authorised
representatives to nominate eligible homes. Final legal terms should define who is responsible for
permissions and image rights.
Does a project need to be newly completed?
A completion window should be defined in the formal rules. For a credible annual award, a recent-completion
eligibility period is advisable rather than an unrestricted historic archive.
Can a house enter more than one category?
The programme can permit a project to be considered in its principal category and for World House of the
Year, while avoiding excessive multi-category entry that could dilute the awards.
Is there an entry fee?
No fee has been established in this concept. If an entry fee is introduced, the amount, inclusions, waivers
and independence of the judging process should be stated clearly before submissions open.
What happens if a project is selected?
Selected projects would be asked for high-resolution photography, plans, verified credits, written project
information and publication permissions for the website and Pontal Magazine.
